Foothill Region, VCCA Rowland Home & Dibble Museum Area 1 Tour
May 18 @ 11:30 am – 1:00 pm
Come join the Foothill Region as they host an Area 1 tour to the historic Rowland Home and Dibble Museum.
The John A. Rowland Home, built in 1855, was the first two-story brick house in southern California, and is the oldest brick house now standing in this area. In 1950, Lilian Dibble, granddaughter of J. A. Rowland, turned the water tank located south of the home into a museum especially for the school children. The Round House, as it is now called, contains ranch equipment and Native American artifacts.
We will meet for an early lunch at nearby Casa Blanca Mexican Restaurant at 10:00 am then caravan to the Rowland Home by 11:30 am for our docent-led tour that starts at 12:00 pm. The tour is free of charge.
